Lisboa European Capital of Innovation

The task at hand was to paint a big colorful sign on a whole facade to celebrate Lisbon getting the award for European Capital of Innovation. With innovation as the main concept I knew I wanted to design something with pixels, but pixel typefaces always seem a bit too static and bulky for me. I decided to take the pixels and throw every other rule out the window. I squashed the pixels into a vertical format and applied an outline that transformed the letters.
